Community Aggregators, also know as blog aggregators or Blog Portals are a portal-like web app that displays blog articles from a group of closely related but separately hosted blogs and provides newsfeeds so that readers may subscribe to the group as a whole.

Blog Portals provide an easy way for readers to view many articles on a similar topic at a glance, a bit like a dedicated RSS reader such as Google Reader, but has other benefits. For example, a reader can log on to the website from any computer to view the latest information – no need to be tied to one computer. Also, the reader does not have to subscribe to many different feeds, instead the reader can simply subscribe to a single portal and have the knowledge of many blogs delivered to them at once.
